Unique Paper Availability Represents New Endeavor for Ricoh and Continental Datalabel
West Caldwell, NJ, March 11, 2009 — Ricoh Americas Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment, today introduced four specialty papers now compatible with its Aficio® SP C420DN color laser printer and Aficio SP C410DN-KP HotSpot color laser printer. End-users will be able to print marketing, educational, training and other documents on laser cling, magnet, durable and waterproof paper. These versatile papers, tested and recommended by Ricoh and made available through its partner, Continental Datalabel, seek to help all types of organizations increase the visibility and effectiveness of their communication efforts.
This is the first time these types of papers have been available to Ricoh customers and is the first product line of its kind for Continental Datalabel. With that in mind, the line will continue to evolve and grow to offer consumers a robust assortment of papers to support their organizational needs. Xerotab magnet – With Xerotab magnet paper, users can quickly print magnets in full sheets. Useful in marketing or educational environments, the magnetized paper is suitable for school calendars, retail giveaways or business cards. The Xerotab magnet paper requires the use of the Xerotab magnetizer to function, which can be purchased separately via the consumables Web site.
Laser Kling film – Laser Kling paper uses the power of static cling to stick to windows, vinyl signs and other smooth surfaces. The paper is waterproof so it is suitable for outdoor use, such as to customize outdoor signs with updated sale or contact information. The paper can be used in a wide range of applications, is easily printed on for window advertising campaigns in retail locations as well as for outdoor decorations in schools.
Duracopy film – For documents that receive a lot of handling – music sheets, training manuals or employee handbooks – Duracopy film keeps them crisp. The heavy, polyester paper resists rips, folds and crinkles from regular use, eliminating the need to continuously print new copies. It’s also waterproof, ideal for outdoor brochures and posters.
Aqua Ace – Liquids are no match for Aqua Ace film. The glossy thick paper is waterproof and fade-resistant, making it perfect for outdoor signage, posters or restaurant menus. Retail locations will find it a great solution for point-of-purchase signage, price tags and brochures.

In addition to high-quality color prints and quick job processing, the Aficio SP C410DN-KP printer is ideal for on-the-go remote printing. To initiate a print job, users simply forward any email, with or without attachments, from a mobile handheld device – such as a PDA or Internet-enabled cell phone – to the HotSpot printer’s e-mail address. No drivers are required and users enjoy the same functionality, quality and speed as they would in their office environment.
